Addressing Various Issues
Klu Klux klan
The Klu Klux Klan was a group of anti-African Americans who were very violent and expressed their view points in forms of terrorism. This white supremacy group lynched African Americans in public and threatened White Republicans and African Americans for various things, such as the candidate the individual intended to vote for. To stop the KKK, we will pass the Enforcement Acts. Operation Civil War decrees that all Enforcement Acts must be followed and if they are broken, they can be punished by a federal offense. For the Southern States to be allowed back into the Union, they must take charge against the Klan. If a section of the government is involved with the Klan, they will have to show a change in ethics before they are readmitted. The Enforcement Acts will allow all KKK murders to be made a federal offense if they are seen killing, hurting, or destroying things will be charged with a punishment, which can be up to a $141 fine and a 10 year imprisonment. If a bystander does not report this to the government, they will have a fine to pay too.
Jim crow laws & BLack codes
The Jim Crow Laws and Black Codes were enforced in Southern States between 1876-1965. They were a form of racial segregation. These laws supported and encouraged segregation. These were used to discriminate the freedmen. In Alabama, a rule stated: "No person or corporation shall require any white female nurse to nurse in wards or rooms in hospitals, either public or private, in which negro men are placed". In Florida, this law stated that the education of African American and Anglo Americans will be held separately. To stop this atrocity, we will enforce the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and declare the Jim Crow Laws illegal. For Southern states to be readmitted, they must declare these laws illegal and not allow them to occur. We will also send investigation teams to investigate if the Jim Crow Laws and Black Codes are still occurring.
Carpet-baggers and Scalawags
Carpetbaggers were people from the North (Yankees) who were believed to come to the South to exploit the region for its downfall and misfortunes. These Republicans would soon help shape the South's government. These people bought farms or rented plantations for a very small price and made a large profit out of it. However, many carpetbaggers were actually respectable and influential people who came to the South to help it grow, economically, politically, and in other ways.
Scalawags were Southern Republicans who owned Plantations in the Deep South. They believed that African Americans should be respected and given their rights. Many of them were former Whigs and did not own slaves during the Civil War. Some of them were arrested for being Union sympathizers and fighting in the Union during the war.
Both of these "types" of people were looked down on in the South. They are not really an opposition to Reconstruction, but actually help us. However, if we find out that a carpetbagger is actually taking advantage of the South in a bad way, we will oppose a fine upon them.

racism and Segregation
Racism is where someone is judged upon their race and differentiated because of it. Segregation is the separation of races. We see both of these forms of unethical actions before, during, and after the Civil War. It still occurs today! Segregation was enforced through the Jim Crow Laws, which we will mark illegal. We will pass the Civil Rights Acts which will give the African Americans their deserved rights. We will also engage social interaction between these races, which will build a friendship. We hope to accomplish a friendship with no bounds, which will eventually help eliminate racism and segregation in the Southern communities. We will also send investigation teams to investigate the conditions of racism and segregation in the South.
Slavery
Slavery was one of the causes of the Civil War. Since the Emancipation Proclamation, issued by President Abraham Lincoln, the slaves have been freed. We will enforce the Civil Rights Acts and the Amendments which will help reduce slavery, if any is occurring. If any form of slavery is detected, the person performing this act of keeping someone in servitude, will be fined and/or jailed, depending on the caliber of the offense. We will also send investigation teams to investigate the conditions of slavery in the South.
Lack of industries and railroads in the south
In the South, many of the areas were destroyed due to the magnitude of the war and General Sherman's rampage. To help reconstruct the South, we will build more railroads. This will help with trading, importing, and exporting goods. To build more railroads, conduct them, control them, and technician them, we will create more jobs, a need in this period of time. To help create more industries, we will need to create more jobs. We will have jobs in many different areas of the economy, and since the Jim Crow Laws have been outlawed, we will have different races working together, which will help build bonds between the people. We will also have to rebuild our lives and the South, which will also create more jobs. We will need to educate Veterans, Freedmen, and children, which will create jobs, and we need to nurse them.
debt
After the Civil War, the Union and the Confederacy was in a lot of debt. To help our economy recover, we will create more jobs. We will also increase taxes when the economy is stable. For a while, when the taxes have been increased, we can help pay off a bit of our debt. We will also place higher taxes on our exports and manufactured goods, which will also help bring in some money. We will also borrow money through bonds, which can help us. We may also take loans, depending on how severe the condition is. We will try not to take bonds and loans, for they will increase our debt, but we may have to, if it is a critical situation.
